TICP COLLECTOR'S

The handcrafted door shown is made by Veera Bhai from Kutch who belongs to the Harijan community and is a master wood carving artisan carrying on his family’s legacy. He along with his brothers, creates intricate pieces of tables, chairs, stools, frames, door frames and window frames too - which take several months for completion.
Wood carving in Kutch, has been a very significant craft for the entire state of Gujarat. The designs which are carved in the wood bear grave resemblance to the designs of embroideries which are practiced in the area. The facets, medallions and trenches are so finely cut and carved in the wood that the raised portions cast a harmonious shadow on their depressed symmetrical counterparts, thus giving birth to a mesmerizing play of light and shade. This is what makes them unique and a collectible item, an anchor piece for your warm spaces.
