Here’s an illustrated documentation of a research visit to Andhra Pradesh facilitated by APSERP (Andhra Pradesh Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty), a quasi government body, to study women owned small businesses in the state and further facilitate them.

The big idea is to have an entrepreneur in every rural household, in this case, self help women in Andhra Pradesh. Striving to overcome social, economic, cultural and psychological barriers through this self-managed organisation. A woman’s spending behaviour in this case was studied or have been directed towards her family and children which in turn could lead to the community’s development.
