The hand-painted Tholu Bommalata clock by Sudhakar will infuse your spaces with captivating stories. Tholu Bommalata, originating from Andhra Pradesh, refers to a traditional puppet theater featuring characters from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. These puppets were meticulously hand-painted and used in shadow puppet shows. The translucent nature of the material lends the puppets a distinct "glow in the dark" effect. Tiny hand-punched holes in the leather shade allow light to shine through, creating beautiful patterns.
These colorful and versatile puppets serve as appealing accents in any setting, whether placed inside or outside your home, during the day or night. Since each piece is hand-painted to order, it takes 7-10 days to be painted, dried, and assembled before being shipped to you.
